Mission

3rd Day Believers College was founded upon the principles of providing a quality education with practical application for daily living.  Simplicity is our focus as we aim to offer a holistic educational experience that provides a global perspective on the history, purpose, impact, and necessity of the Bible.  We believe that the basis for any successful Christian life is not only knowledge of the Bible, but the ability to make daily, practical applications, thereby enabling believers to be living witnesses of Jesus in the earth.

 

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Goal

  • Provide thorough biblical study in a simple, yet effective manner

  • Encourage a hunger and thirst for greater understanding of the nature and character of God.

  • Create a healthy, nurturing atmosphere that is conducive to positive and productive interaction between students, teachers, and faculty.

  • Teach the simple Truth of God’s Word, crossing racial, denominational, generational, and ethnic lines.

  • Equip students with the tools necessary to positively and effectively evangelize and re-present Christ in the earth.

Why Are We Called
Third Day Believers

 In Scripture, the number three functions like a “divine marker” that signals something has reached a settled or God-established point. It often shows up when a message, event, or truth is being fully confirmed, brought to completion, or revealed as spiritually significant rather than accidental. One of the clearest foundations for this is the Holy Trinity, which Christians understand as God’s fullness expressed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That idea of fullness carries into the way the number appears throughout the Bible: when something is repeated or structured in threes, it often signals confirmation, completion, or divine emphasis.

 

The study of the Scriptures reveals that God has revealed His purpose in threes. This principle of three-fold things / excellent things is consistent throughout the Bible:

  • New Birth — Holy Ghost Baptism — Maturity

  • Thirty-fold — Sixty-fold — Hundred-fold

  • Faith — Hope — Love

  • Milk — Bread — Meat

  • Spirit has been saved — Soul is being saved — Body shall be saved

  • Way — Truth — Life

  • Walk — Run — Mount Up

  • Thanksgiving — Praise — Worship

  • Out of Egypt — Through the Wilderness — Into the Promised Land

  • Birthright — Blessing — Inheritance

These patterns reflect a recurring biblical structure where God often works in stages of progression, moving from beginning to fullness, from initiation to completion. In that sense, “three” in Scripture often represents a complete spiritual process, where something is established, developed, and brought to maturity or fulfillment. It is not only a number of repetition, but a pattern of divine order—showing how God often confirms truth, completes His work, and reveals spiritual realities in a structured and purposeful way.

Bishop

Alvin D. Stewart, Jr., D.D., Ph.D.

is the founder and overseer of ALARM International Church and serves
as Chancellor of Third Day Believers Christian University. He is a man of integrity devoted to fulfilling God’s purpose and destiny for his life. Under Apostle Stewart’s leadership, ALARM has become known as a trailblazing, multicultural ministry.

 

Apostle Stewart attended Florida A&M University and St. Thomas Christian University. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Ministry, a Doctor of Divinity, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational
Leadership. He serves as the Presiding Prelate of ALARM Eagles Connection Partnership of Churches and Kingdom Businesses, Vice President of the United Kingdom of Churches and Kingdom Businesses, and provides global spiritual covering for the Kingdom Ministers Network (KIM-NET), a network consisting of more than 130 churches and ministries throughout West Africa.

 

Apostle Stewart is recognized as one of the nation’s most prolific, charismatic, and dynamic prophetic and apostolic voices. He is an anointed leader with a distinctive ability to awaken and cultivate the Kingdom

potential within every believer. His ministry is marked by a commitment to advancing God’s Kingdom and equipping men, women, and children to walk confidently in their God-given destinies.


The anointing upon his life has impacted ministries across the nation, inspiring them to operate in greater dimensions of excellence and fruitfulness. With the heart of a shepherd, he is deeply committed to
empowering and strengthening leaders and fellow shepherds.

Pastor

Eric L. Swanigan, Ph.D.

has a passion for redeeming lost souls to Christ through evangelism, intercessory prayer, and ministering in the prisons.  He’s been a member of ALARM for more than two decades and currently serves as the Pastor of Christian Education. In this role, he supports the development of educational programs for ALARM’s Third Day Believers Christian University. 

 

​Pastor Swanigan is the author of three books and holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida A&M University in Computer Sciences, a Master’s and Doctor of Philosophy in Theology from Covenant Bible College and Seminary.  ​He is married to Lady LaShawnda Swanigan and they are the proud parents of Jeremiah Christopher and Joshua Alexander (who is in heaven).

Words from our Chancellor 

Kingdom Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We welcome all new candidates in this great army which serves and functions as sons and daughters of God as Kingdom Builders by way of Third Day Believers Christian University. We believe that your individual talents, gifts and skills have been placed here for His glory and that you are a vital part of God’s vision for this Ministry. As an essential part of the body, we need you and we are delighted to have you join with us in fighting the good fight of faith.

We believe that all things in the church should be done decently and in order. No regiment goes out to fight without orders or without direction. We have set forth guidelines and protocol to govern the orderly operation of the ministry so that we may have good success. It is our hope that as the ministry continues to expand, that you will support the vision and help build the Kingdom of God in the Spirit of Excellence and of Love. Welcome to the army. We invite you to suit up, arm yourself, and join Jesus Christ in establishing the Kingdom in the earth. You will find at Third Day Believers Christian University an abundance of rich spiritual nourishment which will sustain you and build you up so that each part of the armor will fit properly and function with excellence and precision.
